Worship & Creative Arts

  • WORSHIP TEAM: The New Day Worship team is a God-centered team focused on creating an environment of true worship. As a part of this team you’ll be asked to dedicate time and talent to preparing for Sunday services and Thursday night rehearsals. Auditions are held once a quarter and will be open to vocalists and instrumentalists.
  • TECH TEAM: Volunteers are the heart of the Tech Team at New Day Christian Church. The Tech Team works behind the scene in the following areas to ensure that our Sunday worship services focus all the attention on God and His glory: Sound, lighting, computer, camera, stage set up, stage hands and video production. If God has gifted you in any of these areas, prayerfully consider joining this ministry.
  • SERVERS TEAM: The servers team distributes the communion elements to our guests and collect offering during Sunday services.
  • RESPONSE TEAM: The response team provides prayer and direction for individuals after Sunday service. If an individual is ready to be baptized or just needs some prayer, the response team is there to walk alongside them
  • BAPTISM ASSISTANCE TEAM: The Baptism Assistance Team exists to serve the needs of those being baptized. The assistant is there to make the person being baptized feel comfortable by showing them what to wear, providing them with towels, offering help with toiletries, hair dryer, etc. The assistant meets them in the back room before or between services and hosts them until the minister arrives to pray with them and baptize them.

Guest Services

  • PARKING TEAM: As God brings more and more people to New Day Christian Church, the need for coordinating traffic flow in the parking lot increases. The Parking Team also provides a warm and welcoming face to all who drive onto the property on Sunday Morning
  • CAFE: Every Sunday we provide coffee and other complementary goods to our guests. We're always looking for individuals to prepare and manage this area.
  • GREETERS: Enjoy smiling? Join our team! We greet everyone with a smile and a bulletin and a few work at the Welcome Center. Volunteer once a month and grow with us! Team spots are available first and second service. We would love to speak with you.
  • USHERS: From the parking lot to the seats we make it our goal for people to feel welcomed. The ushers are the final leg of that run. Each Sunday the ushers help people find seats, welcome first time guests, and help people get connected.
  • SECURITY TEAM: We are looking for a few dedicated volunteers to help keep our House of Worship secure. Today, more than ever, it is vital that we take precautionary measures to keep our congregation and children’s wing safe. If you have a background in Security, or a Medical background, we would love to talk with you.
  • COOKIE MINISTRY TEAM: This team of volunteers delivers homemade cookies to those people that have visited New Day for the first time. Bakers and people to deliver the cookies are needed.

Building & Grounds

  • CHAIR MOVERS: To make room for events during the week, we tear down the chairs in the sanctuary right after second service. Every Thursday our chair movers come in and set them all back up for Sunday. If you're looking for a first step in service this is the group for you!
  • JANITORIAL: Our maintenance team takes great care to make sure our building is in top shape each week. Extra hands to help clean are always appreciated.
  • SPECIAL PROJECTS: If you have handy-man skills we want to talk with you! Updating this facility takes multiple skills (i.e Electricians, Plumbers, Builders, etc.) and most of that is done by volunteers.

Helps

  • JOY:We know that sickness and death are common. To help families in trying times we created the JOY ministry. These volunteers dedicate themselves to preparing meals, hospital visits, and helping with funeral arrangements.
  • KITCHEN: New Day has a full service kitchen that we use to minister to the congregation and the local community. From food preparation to dish washing, the kitchen ministry needs your help.
  • PRAYER SHAWL: Prayer Shawl ministry was formed so we may use our God- given talents to share His love with others. We hope to encourage and bless those who receive the shawls. We pray, as we make the shawls, that through God’s grace the receivers will be empowered by His Spirit to find peace, comfort, strength and know they are loved.
  • SHOWER MINISTRY: On the fourth Sunday of every month, New Day Christian Church is blessed with a visit from local homeless and financially disadvantaged neighbors. God’s house becomes their house, as volunteers serve and make available nutritious meals, showers, haircuts and clean clothes. In addition to serving their physical needs, we provide a devotional time, communion and prayer for their spiritual needs. Please come join us, as we submit our lives to Jesus, to serve.
  • SPECIAL NEEDS HURRICANE SHELTER: This is a unique ministry that partners with the Charlotte County Health Dept and Emergency Operations to provide safe shelter for people with special needs during tropical storms through Cat. 3 hurricanes. As host we have the opportunity to meet people at their place of need and share the love of Jesus Christ.
  • VAN MINISTRY: Are you an uplifting, caring, serving person with good health? Are you physically able to help people get in a van and do you enjoy driving? If so, you might want to consider being a driver for our van ministry. On a weekly basis we travel to different areas in Charlotte County to pick up some of our attenders who are unable to get to church on their own. The commitment is once a month on a Sunday morning.

Administrative

  • COMMUNICATIONS TEAM: Communications is a team that does many things: shares the church’s story with the public, creates an image of the church and the congregation, builds community within the church, creates excitement, builds pride in the church, promotes opportunities and resources, maintains two-way communication (story telling and story listening) with the congregation and with the community, provides information the congregation needs to make informed decisions, and helps make the church’s vision come alive in people’s thoughts, words, and actions. Church communications works with all the other teams of the church to reach out and bring people into a relationship with each other and Jesus Christ.
  • OFFICE VOLUNTEERS: The Church Office is the weekly contact center for the community, church members, work team leaders, counseling services and benevolence ministries. We greet everyone who comes through our doors, answer the telephone, complete administrative projects from staff, keep weekly and monthly records, setup and cleanup meeting rooms and handle small details around the church.

We need people to love our kids and be a part of the discipleship process by teaching and assisting our children as they study Biblical truths.
